Colby has some broken laptops to fix.
HP TPN-W12

Fix the broken screen bezel (pictured below)
- Seems like a superglue job.
Comments
Very low-end computer. If there are any internal problems, it'd be junkworthy, as these laptops are notoriously hard to put back together (due to awkwardly placed power ribbons).
Would not be surprised if it has Fast Ethernet rather than GigE.
Toshiba Satellite C55-B5270
- CPU: Intel Pentium N3530 (bench)
- This CPU is unaffected by hyperthreading vulnerabilities as the cores are discrete
- Generally high-end, low-power CPU
- Great re-use computer

Sounds like a decent computer. We may have scrapped one of these, in which case we have an extra battery.

Much more work and much older computer. The CPU is ancient and high-TDP. Probably worth scrapping!

It does have an Expresscard34 slot, which could be interesting to use

On Linux, sudo smartctl -a $DEVICE
gets SMART data off of the drive (unless your SATA controller is REALLY bad).
