Convert Brielle's HP Chromebook to a Linux-based machine

Synopsis

Brielle came in with an HP Chromebook that she wanted to be running Linux. We are going to do that for her using MrChromeBox's firmware update script.

Tasks

  • Enable developer mode

    • For the purpose of running fwupdate scripts
  • Flash using the fwscript

  • ? Remove write protect screw

    • This may be engaged but the firmware update script will tell us.
  • Really flash with fwscript

  • Install GalliumOS
